Collision repair and classic restoration on Route 553 in Clymer
After a wreck, our Gold Class crew handles the insurance, the tow and the rental, and the same hands that rebuild COPO Camaros put your car back the way it should be.
Since 2014, on Route 553
Jamie opened the shop in 2014 with Joe after years of working in other people's shops, and the crew has grown up around two habits: train every year, and give every customer a date their car will be done.

Most body shops pick a lane, but at 553 the collision bays and the Super Car Restoration bays share one building, one paint department and the same people. A painter who has worked on a 1969 Yenko Chevelle isn't going to rush the quarter panel on your Silverado.
It works the other way too. Restoration customers know their car is going to a shop that sees modern frames, sensors and finishes every single week.
“We don't just restore cars, we restore memories.”Meet the crew

You've been through enough. We'll take it from here.
- Call your insurance company to report the damage and get a claim number.
- Call us to set up an estimate. Plan on about an hour with your car at the shop.
- We order the parts and set the date your repair begins.
- We take the damaged area apart to find anything hidden, get your insurer's approval, and keep you posted until you have your keys back.
Before and after, from our own bays
Every pair is a customer's car photographed in our shop, once on the day it came in and again on the day it went home.
BeforeAfter
Good as new, maybe better.
Built to the factory book, bolt by bolt
Show-quality restoration or an honest preservation of your car's original character, the restoration crew sources period-correct parts and calls in specialists for the rare models until every bolt, weld and rivet is right.
Bring us your goals, your budget, your timeline and whatever paperwork came with the car, and we'll tell you plainly what we can do with it.

Questions people ask us
After a wreck
Do I have to pay for my repair up front?
No. We'll ask to hold the insurance check you received until the repair is finished, and any deductible or out-of-pocket cost is due when you pick up your car. We can also arrange for your insurance company to pay us directly.
My insurance company already wrote an estimate. Can I still use 553?
Yes. You have the right to choose any repair shop, even one your insurer doesn't mention. We review their estimate and send a supplement for anything we find once the car is apart.
Can I get a quote over the phone?
No, because the damage you can't see is usually what matters. Schedule an estimate and plan on about an hour with your car at the shop, sometimes longer for heavier damage.
My car needs towed. Can you help?
Yes. We work with several tow companies in the area and can have your car brought straight to the shop.
Will I have a car while mine is being fixed?
Yes. We work closely with Enterprise, and once you tell us you need a rental they'll meet you here when you drop your car off. When you pick yours up, leave the rental with us.
Which insurance companies do you work with?
Every one of them, since the choice of shop is yours. The insurers we work with most: to confirm with the shop
Do you do rust repair?
No. Our technicians are capable of it, but rust repair and patching isn't a service we offer at 553.
Restoration
What should I have ready before I call about a restoration?
Four things help most: what you want (a show-quality restoration or a more modest preservation), the budget you have in mind, the date you need it done, and any history or paperwork that came with the car.
What kind of cars do you restore?
Mostly American muscle, from Yenko and COPO Camaros to LS5 and LS6 Chevelles and a 1969 Super Bee, plus older cars like a 1948 Pontiac Torpedo and the Schmidtz race car.
Do you use original parts?
We restore period correct, down to the last bolt or screw, and we're not afraid to call in an expert when a rare model needs one.
